Altar Server Prayer
Loving Father, Creator of the universe,
you call your people to worship,
to be with you and each other at Mass.
Help me, for you have called me also.
Keep me prayerful and alert.
Help me to help others in prayer.
Thank you for the trust you have placed in me.
Keep me true to that trust.
I make my prayer is Jesus’ name, who is with us in the Holy Spirit.
Amen

Altar Servers assist the priest at Mass. They provide Father with the water and wine cruets and the hand washing bowl at the proper times. They ring the bells and assist Father with the offertory gifts, as well as other duties.
Altar Servers are placed on a team and are scheduled to serve mass at least once a month and for an occasional Holy Day service. Boys and girls who have received the Sacrament of First Eucharist are eligible. Trainings are held twice a year usually in the church.
